While the melodies are *really* dissonant throughout (and not in a good creepy way), the atmospheres and sound designs in this is superb. The pads sounds quite loud and there are not enough sub bass imo, but the structure still works and the vibe is still immaculate
Hi there! Unsure how to respond, but I'm not sure how the melodies are dissonant in not a good way? The intent was for them to have an echo and shimmer, and there is bass and sub bass present... Perhaps it is a sound balancing issue, but I seem to constantly struggle with getting people hooked to the melody and harmony in all my songs...which is kind of disheartening. Sound design, drum kit and vibe are always brill and praised, but everything else is less than desirable and it reflects in the scores something fierce.... I am at a loss how to strengthen those attributes, although this was just done in about a day's time....
If you have any tips or tricks, those would be great to share. I apologize if the melodies and pads were too harsh, but glad you enjoy the remaining bits that were good. :)
Thank you for your critique! Always nice to receive them when I can. ♡
can't wait to actually listen to the whole thing instead of just listening to my part for several hours on loop
