why is this such a mood.
why is this such a mood.
por que si :D
(spanish is funny:DDD)
That intro feels a whole lot of lacking, reverb and arps should do the trick. The build is lame, should have added more effects (in fact the whole track transitions are bad). Needs more background elements too.
And last but not least...
Where is the hecking BASS?!?
- sincerely, a guy nicknamed "give me ur bASS" in your discord server.
oh its you lol
ok so there is something wrong with my headset and stuff, and I can hear bass in the project, but when the file compresses to mp3, it loses the bass, im tryna fix that.
yeah the intro is lame and so is the build lol. the whole song kinda sucks, i wish some of my better songs had gotten popular instead
this is really good :D you would need to learn more about mixing however since there are a lot of eq, effects and tweaking needed. if you want, just shoot me a message and i can send you some articles and tips. as for now, 3.5/5 from me :)
Thanks!
well, it's a first try. i'd say it's some decent work. just 1) try to learn your own sound design (tip: FM synthesis and automations can go a long way) and 2) improve your mix and master skill. for this track in example, i would put less reverb on drums and make them louder + sidechain other sounds then put heavy compression and eq on the master. just some searches on yt and you can get a lot of knowledge yourself for free ;)
Yeah, there isn't many options and there isn't much choice of mixing and mastering on my software, which is what people keep saying I need to improve on. Hopefully, now that I've got Logic Pro X (10.4), I can do it a bit better in the future!
a big F for the limiter in the master chain of this song. put a compressor on your master for the ears of the listeners please. everything are bright (which most of the times is good) but the whole song clips and distorts a lot (which is bad). some parts also sounds hollows due to lacking some mid freqs. and i guess the (supposed) drops is even quieter than most of the track? nice ideas, sound designs but i give 3.5/5 for the headache i had to experience after hearing the song.
Not exactly sure where you are hearing clipping or distortion in the song... There's also no limiter on the master... I guess it depends on your audio gear. Thanks for the review!
I love this future house style: gritty and aggressive :P Sound design and melody is pretty good but mixing and mastering wise, it needs a lot of touch-ups. Cymbals and leads are way too loud, build lacks energy, too much high frequencies, clipping everywhere. Some tips for ya:
- Get a spectrum analyzer. SPAN is a free one that every producers love to use. Use it to check your mixing if any elements is too loud.
- Use several compressors on the master, each has its own setting. There are many guides about it on the internet.
- Put a limiter at the end of your mastering chain and limit it to -0,3 dB. That should prevent most of the distortions from happening.
Anyway nice job on this, you can always learn to improve yourself along the way:D
Thanks for your comment.
The clipping is a style element in my tracks, for example I'm softclipping my Kicks and Claps for getting more room for other elements. But I'll try to make it better next time!
I really like the vibe of this one, that's for sure. Nice melody, good mixing, really suitable for a late night vibe. I just have a little problem with the drums, they're kinda weak. I edited it a little and hope you don't mind.
(also songs in this style should be listed as Hip Hop - Old School, a House track has the drum pattern like your track "Dawn")
Seriously man, edit it all you want I couldn’t care less about that :p thanks for your comment btw ^^ and I put house only cuz I am the worst at knowing what genre it is •___•
HOLY SHIIIII!!!11!!!! THIS IS SO LIIIIIIIIIIIT 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥😂😂😂😂👏👏👏👏
