eurodance and happy hardcore are way faster, this is just happy techno :p clean mix, great melody. just need a little more sfx and cymbals and you would nail it perfectly ;D

(goddamnit i feel nostalgic)

SpeTheof responds:

nah this is not even close to techno xD

nice sound design but a huge lack of bass. add impact at the drop, drums can have more power, lead can have more layers, more cymbals and percs helps too. noice.

(just wait another day, i'll be back before you know)

TrickshotMusic responds:

ty, im currently making the full version and im implementing most of your comments. the bass was too panned, leads already have about 8 layers, and im fixing the drums as well

I really like this! The vocal is great, mixing is nice, idea is awesome. The things I would complain is that it has too many differences in volume in different parts. Also most parts sounds really empty. Really appreciate the second drop :P (p/s: if you're comfortable of me making a remix, please send me the stems and midi through private message.)

icantpronouncethis responds:

Thank you for the feedback. It's my third song I've worked with the vocals. Still have a long way to go. I think another problem is that I've only used my headphone to mix this track and it tends to bring out the low end more than the mids and the highs. I have changed to a different headphones since than, so hopefully next tracks might have more of a balance.

haven't heard anything from you for months, finally you'r back. huge lack of bass in drop, quite repetitive, other than that i can't think of anything tbh. GJ

Easkull responds:

Lack of bass was my intention, I was trying something different. The track is quite repetitive honestly. Thanks for the feedback.

senpai-chan, p-please teach me how to sound design with monstro >n< kyaa~~

the only thing that's uncomfortable for me was the mixing lmao

piano in the intro can be a little softer. lacking some high freqs in instruments. what is that thing at 0:33 because it destroys the other sounds through compression. need some more reverb. orchestral drums needs more low freqs. the tempo should be slowly built up so it doesn't kill the vibe. serious unbalance in freqs. repetitive. overall quite a mess really.

Erso responds:

Not sure how to make that piano even softer than it is. Thing at 0:33? I suppose you meant the snare, not sure which compression destroys anything else. About the reverb, I thought I already put too much... Specify where do you think it lacks reverb the most.

Now, the tempo. How the hell do you even build it up slowly? I just recorded the drop in 180 bpm and put that fragment in a 140 bpm piece, that's the only way I can achieve it. I have no clue how to speed up or slow down things in FL.

Repetitive? Well, I guess it kind of is, didn't really seem more repetitive to me than Devastation or something. I tried to add new things wherever its possible.

Now, everything you said about the frequencies. My ears aren't yet experienced enough to hear how EQing changes the sound at all, not mentioning for the good or the bad. So when I start a new track, I'll probably mess everything up by using your advices because it will be quite a different one.

Quite a mess? That's... somewhat fair. Not sure.

So now I just want for you to notice a few things. I'm strong at making melodies, harmonic lines but NOT mixing, mastering or sound design, it's all so new to me and I'm quite unexperienced at it yet. Additionally, everything I mentioned I'm bad at is inituative and it can only be as good as your ears are. My ears don't really hear a lot of sound changes unless I put a reverb there, and by trying to make the thing sound epic and aggressive I make a mess. That's fair, but I've no clue how to get rid of it yet. Weren't you going to give criticism at the melodies or such as well?

And yeah, I'd really appreciate if you taught me how to change the tempo in FL.

honestly, mix and master can be better :p nice sound design, quite a compressor abuse, vocal should be the loudest element, tone down the reverb, overwhelming unbalance of energy between the parts. overall pretty nice job to get to the featured content section, congrats :)

H3XAGON3ST responds:

Thank you))

i can't even believe that i made it aaaa

you should have put this as dance or techno (or even more extreme, video geam :p) melody tips: try to use a main melody to reoccur somewhere in the track. for example, that first melody is really good :) i can't really hear the ujico inspiration in this :p also yeah, try to normalize your thing to make it a little louder. quite a huge improvement :D (told ya, mixing is really important.)

please ignore everything i've made before 2019 i'm too lazy to delete them all
