need better mixing. chords, percs, bark sample, effects are too loud. c o m p r e s s i o n is needed. cool and good already

yeah most of it isn't mixed, so I'm just gonna disregard all of that, and it is compressed, I just made a quick master, so thanks for the feedback I guess, I will try and improve on what you mentioned :)

good experimenting. the things that bothers me are the bass is too loud for the mix and has a lot of DC offset (fix by cutting most of the things that goes under 20hz). can you link me to that video please?

I agreed with the title and description. Things that bother me are kicks not loud enough and this sounds generic. You should consider add some overdive to the dubstep basses and layer some more to the supersaws. Cool and good.

Thanks for your input! I'm trying out some new mixing with my drums, so it's good that you can find a problem. Will fix in new songs.
On the other hand, I will customize the dubstep basses some more, and maybe mess with distortion and harmonics. Supersaws aren't really my thing, but I really could do something about having more layers to my leads.

[The Dangerous Path to Home (NGUAC 2018)]

really cool :D love the feel of this track (i'm not really good with vocabulary). you can't really say you didn't use any samples because you used SF2Player :P The second part's felt a little bit worn out since it's the same melody throughout with the same chord progression. Still, it's really impressive to use LMMS built in plugins only (especially Organic, I can't even find an use for it.) Those ambiences are amazing and overall this song is majestic. 4.5/5 for me :D

In my defense, the second half of the song is supposed to take on a different perspective, or a different mood of the situation.

over compression is a huge problem here. this would fall into the hard house region. drop has bad mixing (or maybe just because of the compression). too stereo ("wide") bass make people hard to hear it. still, love those sounds. i should learn sound designing more :p

cool melody. good instruments. bad mixing. people don't usually like random loudness changes, mind you. (also applies for sudden mood changes).

cool and g o o d. i really love this atmosphere of this one. the only thing i would recommend is a good mastering however - everything are way too quiet :p.

mastering needs works :p. piano has too much high end. need some good mixdown process too. kicks doesn't really fit. i would recommend a switch up in melody. with only a little bit of tweaking, this song would be a masterpiece. really liked it ;)

I have bad headphones, so, the mixing in all of my songs is off. that's just a given at this point haha.

You're the second person to mention the drums, or maybe even the third.
So, they definitely need to be changed. eh, it was the best I could do, with given resources, I will probably update this soon, and change things, like drums.
of course, I'm still learning, just like everyone else, and It is nice when people leave constructive criticism!
So, Thank you for taking the time to leave the nice review, and stating the things wrong with it!
